Had a follower on twitter ask for an avatar commission after seeing me update mine. I'm glad it was generating enough of that kind of interest!! Here we have the rough ink from my sketchbook, and I'm working on the colored version. It'll be up before friday. Keep an eye out for that as well!
For those out there who observe Christian holidays, I hope you're all stuffing your face with Pancakes at some point today! I personally use this holiday as an excuse to attempt to fast from junk food for six weeks...I mean reflect on my sins! My many MANY Sins!
One of my favorite pass times since I was a child to this very day. As I grew, my interests changed, but there was always a comic for what I was going through. There was often a book I could relate to as well, but seeing a character realized on the printed page was always an extra thrill, my own imagination endless, the structure of a character interpretation allowed me to relate that much more to the story, thinking I could envision myself right there along side the heroes and heroines.
The reason for the topic is because I am very pleased to say that I have been asked by a group of colleagues to join them in a comic anthology project!
The Comic details are not mine to share at the moment, that being said, I don't know everyone on the project, but those I do are ones I have full confidence in delivering an amazing product, and together I hope that we will all make something beautiful to show the world!
Here are some of the concepts that I have been roughing out. My script is completed, I'll be sure to post it soon, but in the meantime, here are some of my sketches!
I've moved and settled into a new province and can now take another step towards my future career! I was on shaky ground for the first days, doing something like moving across the country by yourself can always leave you rattled! I wasn't feel to great for the first week cause of that, all new surroundings and uncertain future scared me shitless! But after soul searching for a few days (and Sleeping! ) I came back to the realization that I was just settling my nerves! Now I'm getting back in the swing of things and want to take the bull by the horns! Got mah bus pass, gym pass, and Sketchbook! nothing more that I need! Yes, my gym pass made it to the must haves, between stress eating and being overfed in my new living arrangements, I packed on a whopping TEN pounds in two weeks. NOT COOL. Forget the scale number, the lack of exercise was lethal to my energy levels and peace of mind. I've been addicted to the gym for the past five years now, and like any addiction, I went through SEVERE Withdrawal symptoms. (Imagine a hippo snapping a crocodile's back and then desecrating the remains...I was the crocodile) Finally to wrap up my Funk, I developed an ear infection! (if I wasn't lucky enough as is!) Thankfully the clinics are great up here, and I was in and out of with Antibiotics in hand in less than two hours!! The Meds are doing wonders and I feel very optimistic about the couple of months! I definitely want to blossom with the season come Spring! That was quite the Ramble! Until next time! -Ketchup
